Home Opener Shutout
Man, I hate losing.
And not just any kind of losing; losing big.
The Suns encountered some serious Hollywood pwnage in the desert earlier today, when the Lakers routed them, 119-98. Falling by as much as 33 points, it was an awful outing for Phoenix, especially considering it was their home opener.
Then again, they did come from a road game just the previous night (where they performed with a little more than expected rust, at that), so at least I have a lame excuse to use.
Oh well. so much for that 15-game winning streak to start the season... We're just two games into 2007-2008, anyway, so there's not much reason to worry.
Eyes on the prize! Go Suns!
Adding insult to injury was the fact that Lakers center Andrew Bynum played a monster game, stats-wise. He tallied 14 points on 7/10 shooting, to go along with 13 boards and a block. Why does this matter? Bynum's in one of my fantasy teams, that's why. But while he was in my roster, I benched him today in favor of Portland's Channing Frye, who only threw in a measly 6pts and 5rebs on just 43% shooting. *Sigh*
