Amare out, but Suns still kick ass
Alas, my greatest fear has been realized--just three games into the season. As it turns out, all's not well with Amare's recently surgerized right knee, and for this matchup against no less than Lebron James and the Cavs, he had to sit out.
Thankfully, we have a two-time MVP who can still play MVP-caliber ball even on 33-year-old legs.
Yep, good ol' Steve Nash bailed the Suns out with 30pts and 10assts--no small surprise, if you think about it--single-handedly bringing back the team from 12pts down to 11pts up as the final buzzer sounded. Final score: 103-92, Phoenix. Whew.

Granted, it wasn't the Lebron show throughout the whole game--and I'm pretty thankful for that. But at the end of the day, it was a fine show of resiliency for Phoenix, whose primary interior presence is considered day-to-day.
Here's hoping Amare's knee problems go away soon enough, and for good. Go Suns!
